HIGHROCK
HighRock serves as the Youth Ministry division of Christian Counselling Ministries.

HighRock began in 1996 when a group of local youth pastors began holding monthly rallies for their students in order to get to know other Christian youth and to break down the walls between different denominations. As numbers at the rallies increased, they began looking for ways to impact the community by presenting God’s truth in ways that are relevant for today’s youth.

Today, HighRock has become an established identity in the community, working with schools and other local agencies through various networking opportunities. ExtremeTalk events are held annually in our local junior high schools. Slate, our youth centre, offers a variety of innovative learning opportunities and a safe supervised environment to just “hang out”

HRYM operates under the management of a director and a Steering Committee, though still relying heavily on support from local youth pastors and dedicated volunteers. Uniting for the common purpose of taking Christ’s love to a hurting world, this program continues to grow and develop, establishing itself as a vital resource in this community.

Through the creative use of innovative teaching methods, HighRock Youth Ministries empowers teens for life through skills development and social encouragement. We exist to promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of teens.
