| COUNSELLING
CCM
is well known for the counselling that is provided by our
therapists. This counselling is offered at affordable rates for
people that could not otherwise afford professional counselling.
We receive referrals from a wide range of sources, including employee
assistance programs, Correctional Services, Children’s Aid
Society, churches, and the Mental Health Center, to name a few.
Most often, people hear about our program through word of mouth
and call for an appointment.
Counselling
sessions cover a wide range of topics such as marital and family
concerns, depression, anxiety, and issues arising from childhood
sexual abuse. We also have a room that has been equipped for play
based interventions. Integrity, compassion, and Christian principles
are the cornerstones of our work.
The
following are some distress signals that may indicate a need for
counselling:
-
Frequent arguments
-
Overwhelming anxiety
- Alcohol
or drug problems
- Unexplainable
fatigue
- Lack
of purpose, depression
- Change
in eating patterns
- A
continued sense of loneliness or isolation
- Uncontrollable
anger
If
these describe you, don't despair. There is hope! We would be happy
to assist you in working through any of these issues.
If
you want to talk with a counsellor or have any questions about our
services, give us a call. We’d be
glad to talk with you. All calls are confidential.
